Hi there! I’m Julie Marie! Welcome to my blog! A little about me: I am the eighth child out of nine, born and raised in Southern California, married the love of my life and am a first time parent.
Before having a child, I couldn’t relate to a single thing that my parent friends told me (even though I thought I did). Whether it was how exhausted they were, how it’s possible to be busy all.day.long. when you stay at home with your child (even though you’re not reporting to a job everyday), how you can be home all day and your house is still a complete wreck... None of it comes to comprehension... until it happens to you.
It’s true what they say, “nothing can prepare you for parenthood”. Like, literally, NOTHING!! It’s not until you go home after your first baby is born and YOU are responsible to care for it. So far, parenthood feels like the day I gave birth never ended. Everything you thought you knew about life and being an independent adult feels foreign, new and at times, scary.
